Trail Ridge Road was constructed from 1929 to 1932. It opened the following year to tourists and earned immediate inclusion among the scenic wonders of the world. This new path through the park offered visitors breathtaking views and a privileged glimpse at unique ecosystems. It is the country’s highest continuous paved road peaking at 12,183 feet.
