One of Rocky’s most iconic mammals now available as a pin! Bighorn sheep are excellent rock climbers and are at home amidst the rugged terrain of Rocky Mountain National Park. Their hooves are hard at the outer edge and spongy in the center, providing traction on sheer rock. Bighorn sheep live in herds, or bands, with the dominant ewe as the leader. Rams band together in groups of 2 to 5. Rams are known for their impressive horns that are used against each other to assert dominance.
